  • organisation or company information
  • credit accounts and facilities
  • original and outstanding loan balances
  • account opening, maturity and closure dates
  • repayments and repayment history
  • overdue payments and delinquencies
  • defaults, write-offs, restructures and corrections

02

Sources of Information

Most credit information held by RCN is provided by participating banks, lenders and other authorised institutions.

RCN may also receive information:

  • directly from the subject of a credit record
  • through disputes and correction requests
  • through publicly available Redmont records where relevant and lawful
  • through RCN's own systems, including credit inquiries and API access logs

Participating institutions are responsible for ensuring that information they report to RCN is accurate and lawfully disclosed.

03

Why We Process Information

RCN processes information for purposes including:

  • maintaining credit histories
  • producing RCN Scores and commercial credit ratings
  • providing authorised institutions with credit-risk information
  • supporting lending and underwriting decisions
  • monitoring existing credit relationships
  • identifying recent credit exposure, delinquency or default
  • generating detailed credit reports
  • maintaining data accuracy
  • investigating and resolving disputes
  • protecting RCN and its members against abuse or fraud
  • maintaining security and audit records
  • complying with applicable Redmont law

RCN does not approve or reject loans on behalf of participating institutions. Lending decisions remain solely with the institution concerned.

04

Credit Scores and Ratings

RCN may derive credit scores, ratings, confidence indicators and reason codes from reported credit information.

An RCN Score represents an assessment of reported historical credit behaviour. It is not a guarantee that a person or organisation will or will not repay future credit.

Creditworthiness and affordability are separate concepts. Participating lenders remain responsible for establishing their own lending criteria.

05

Disclosure of Information

RCN may disclose credit information to approved participating institutions where access is reasonably required for authorised purposes such as:

Access to personal credit information is restricted on a need-to-know and need-to-access basis.

RCN does not make individual credit profiles publicly searchable.

RCN may disclose information where required or authorised by applicable law, regulation, court order or lawful government request.

  • evaluating a credit application
  • reviewing an existing credit facility
  • commercial underwriting
  • monitoring an existing borrower
  • investigating disputed or potentially fraudulent credit activity
06

Data Minimisation

RCN seeks to provide only the information reasonably necessary for the purpose of a credit inquiry.

Routine automated API requests may provide a limited credit summary, while access to more detailed credit reports may require additional institutional permissions and a declared purpose.

07

Data Accuracy

RCN relies substantially on information reported by participating institutions.

We take reasonable measures to keep credit information accurate, complete and appropriately up to date.

Where information is found to be incorrect, RCN may correct or supersede the relevant information while retaining appropriate audit records of the original submission and subsequent correction.

08

Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals and organisations may request:

Requests may be subject to reasonable identity verification.

  • confirmation of whether RCN holds information about them
  • access to their personal or organisational credit information
  • correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
  • review of disputed information
  • information about how their data is being used
  • information about institutions that have reported relevant credit information
  • other privacy rights available under the laws of the Commonwealth of Redmont

RCN will not disclose private credit information merely because someone knows a player's username.

09

Disputes

If you believe information reported about you is inaccurate, you may submit a dispute through RCN's designated dispute process.

RCN may:

  1. 1mark relevant information as disputed
  2. 2request evidence or clarification
  3. 3contact the reporting institution
  4. 4review available records
  5. 5correct, supersede or uphold the information
  6. 6notify relevant parties of the outcome where appropriate

Information will not necessarily be removed solely because it is disputed.

10

Security

RCN uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information from:

These measures may include access controls, authentication, API credential controls, audit logging, encryption where appropriate, rate limiting and signed integration mechanisms.

  • unauthorised access
  • disclosure
  • loss
  • theft
  • copying
  • alteration
  • misuse

No computer system can guarantee absolute security.

11

Institutional Access and Audit Logging

Access to RCN credit information may be logged.

RCN may record information including:

These records may be used for security, compliance, dispute resolution and abuse prevention.

  • requesting institution
  • authorised user or API key
  • subject accessed
  • declared purpose
  • date and time
  • request identifier
  • relevant security information
12

Retention

RCN retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • maintain meaningful credit histories
  • provide network services
  • comply with contractual obligations
  • resolve disputes
  • maintain legally or operationally necessary audit records
  • comply with applicable law

The continued retention of historical credit information does not necessarily mean that old events will continue to carry the same weight in an RCN Score or rating.

13

Participating Institutions

RCN member institutions remain responsible for their own privacy practices and for the legality and accuracy of information they submit to the network.

RCN is not responsible for independent lending decisions or unrelated information processing conducted by participating institutions.

14

Changes to This Policy

RCN may update this Privacy Policy where necessary to reflect changes to:

  • RCN services
  • credit-reporting practices
  • technology
  • member requirements
  • applicable Redmont law

Material changes will be published on the RCN website with an updated effective date.

15

Contact and Privacy Requests

Privacy, access, correction and dispute requests should be submitted through the contact or dispute mechanisms published on the RCN website.

Where appropriate, requests should identify:

  • your Minecraft username
  • your Minecraft UUID where known
  • the information or account concerned
  • the nature of your request
  • supporting evidence where relevant

RCN may require reasonable verification before discussing or disclosing private credit information.
