About RCN
RCN operates credit-information infrastructure for participating institutions within the Commonwealth of Redmont.
RCN may provide:
RCN provides information intended to assist credit-risk assessment.
- credit profiles
- RCN Scores
- commercial credit ratings
- credit reports
- APIs
- account-reporting infrastructure
- monitoring and webhook services
- institutional dashboards
- data-correction and dispute services
Eligibility
Certain RCN services are restricted to approved institutions and their authorised representatives.
RCN may require an institution to complete an application, verification or onboarding process before access is granted.
RCN may refuse institutional membership or access where reasonably necessary to protect the network, its members, its subjects or the integrity of its services.
Accounts
Users are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information
- protecting login credentials
- maintaining the security of their account
- promptly reporting suspected unauthorised access
- ensuring that access is used only for authorised institutional purposes
API Keys
API credentials are confidential.
Institutions must:
- securely store API keys
- restrict access to authorised systems and personnel
- use only the permissions necessary for their integration
- promptly revoke credentials believed to be compromised
- comply with applicable rate limits and technical requirements
Permitted Use of Credit Information
Credit information obtained through RCN may only be used for legitimate authorised purposes, including:
Credit information must not be accessed out of curiosity, for harassment, for public disclosure, for unrelated competitive intelligence, or for another improper purpose.
RCN may require users to declare the purpose of a credit inquiry.
- evaluating credit applications
- commercial underwriting
- reviewing existing credit
- monitoring existing borrowers
- managing legitimate credit risk
- resolving relevant disputes
Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- access credit information without a legitimate authorised purpose
- knowingly submit false, misleading or fabricated credit information
- manipulate reporting in order to improperly influence an RCN Score or rating
- attempt to obtain another subject's confidential information without authority
- scrape, bulk-download or redistribute RCN credit information except where expressly permitted
- disclose private credit reports publicly
- share API keys or institutional credentials with unauthorised parties
- bypass rate limits, permissions or access controls
- interfere with RCN systems or security mechanisms
- impersonate another person or institution
- use RCN services for unlawful activity
Reporting Institutions
Institutions that report credit information to RCN must take reasonable steps to ensure that information is:
RCN institutions must report facts rather than subjective personal opinions about borrowers.
Examples of reportable facts include account opened, amount borrowed, repayment made, account overdue, default occurred, account repaid and balance changed.
RCN may reject, flag or investigate information that appears inaccurate, inconsistent, abusive or improperly reported.

- accurate
- complete where required
- timely
- supported by genuine credit activity
Corrections
Institutions must cooperate reasonably with legitimate correction and dispute processes.
Where an institution becomes aware that information it reported is materially inaccurate, it must take reasonable steps to correct the information.
RCN may preserve superseded information within non-public audit records where necessary to maintain data integrity.
RCN Scores and Ratings
RCN Scores, ratings, reason codes, confidence indicators and related assessments are based on information available to RCN at the time of calculation.
They are estimates of credit risk based on reported history.
They are not:
- guarantees of repayment
- guarantees of default
- statements of personal character
- lending approvals
- financial advice
Independent Lending Decisions
RCN members must independently determine:
- whether to lend
- how much to lend
- interest rates
- repayment terms
- collateral requirements
- internal underwriting standards
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the RCN name, branding, software, API documentation, scoring methodology, website content and related materials are owned or controlled by Redmont Credit Network LLC.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of RCN intellectual property.
Approved member institutions may identify themselves as RCN members and use approved RCN integration branding subject to applicable brand guidelines.
Availability
RCN aims to provide reliable services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Services may be unavailable because of:
- maintenance
- software errors
- server outages
- third-party failures
- security incidents
- circumstances outside RCN's reasonable control
Data and Service Errors
While RCN takes reasonable measures to maintain accurate information, credit information may contain errors caused by:
- incorrect institutional reporting
- delayed reporting
- identity-resolution issues
- software errors
- incomplete credit history
- disputed information
Suspension and Termination
RCN may suspend or terminate access where a user or institution:
Where reasonable, RCN may provide notice and an opportunity to remedy non-urgent issues before termination.
- materially breaches these Terms
- abuses credit information
- submits knowingly false information
- compromises API or account security
- fails to comply with reporting obligations
- creates material risk to RCN or its members
- uses RCN unlawfully
Institution Membership
Participating institutions may be subject to additional contractual terms, reporting requirements or membership agreements.
Where an institutional agreement conflicts with these general Terms, the specific institutional agreement will govern to the extent of the conflict.
Privacy
Use of RCN is also governed by the RCN Privacy Policy.
Institution users acknowledge that credit information accessed through RCN may be private and must be handled accordingly.
Disclaimer of Lending Responsibility
RCN does not enter into lending contracts between borrowers and participating institutions.
RCN is not responsible for:
- approval or rejection of a loan
- interest rates
- repayment terms
- collection activity
- lender conduct unrelated to RCN
- borrower conduct
- losses resulting solely from a lender's independent decision
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable Redmont law, RCN will not be liable for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from reliance on an RCN Score, rating or report where the information was presented accurately based on data available to RCN at the relevant time.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability arising from fraud, intentional misconduct or other obligations imposed by applicable law.
Good Faith
RCN and users of its services are expected to exercise their contractual rights and obligations honestly and in good faith.
Nothing in these Terms authorises conduct that would otherwise violate the laws of the Commonwealth of Redmont.
Changes to These Terms
RCN may update these Terms where reasonably necessary to reflect:
Material changes will be published with a revised effective date.

- membership requirements
- changes in Redmont law
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Redmont.
Disputes relating to these Terms may be brought before a court of competent jurisdiction within the Commonwealth of Redmont.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Redmont Credit Network LLC
RCN provides credit information. Lending decisions remain solely the responsibility of participating institutions.
